Registration is now open for AIEC 2023. Take advantage of our early-bird rates, and save $300 off your registration when you register by 31 July.

From keynotes to workshops, sessions to the exhibition hall, Braindates to social events, and much more – AIEC 2023 will be the place to make meaningful connections, grow your network, and learn the latest in the Australian #intled sector.

Feedback from last year’s event was overwhelmingly positive and sent a clear message: in-person events are here to stay! AIEC 2023 will be held in-person at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

The Program Committee is hard at work curating a comprehensive program for this year. We'll be sharing the preliminary program and announcing some of our keynotes in the coming weeks, so please stay tuned! We’re excited to meet in person at AIEC 2023! See you in Adelaide from 10 to 13 October.

  • plenary sessions available to view on demand after the conference.

Pre-conference program

Pre-conference sessions at AIEC 2023 will take place at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Tuesday 10 October 2023. Booking to all sessions are essential, and tickets to the Intled 101 Info Session and Data Masterclass need to be purchased in addition to the conference registration via the Registration Form.

Whether you are new to AIEC or international education or need a refresher, this informative session will provide you with the ‘basics’ of international education in Australia and set you up for a successful AIEC. Presenters will introduce valuable tools and resources to update and refresh your knowledge; to help you identify and focus on professional development opportunities; and to ensure that the conference ahead isn’t a blur of unfamiliar acronyms and terminology.

For the more experienced delegate, this hands-on masterclass will be facilitated by experts in international education data and insights as well as market-based and academic research. Attendees will network with and learn from these experts as well as deepen their own knowledge of a range of international education related data sets. It is hands-on so be sure to bring your laptop!

Interested in joining an IEAA network or new to the industry and want to find out more? This meet and greet is an opportunity to connect with the IEAA team of volunteers working in your specialty area: Admissions & Compliance, Learning Abroad, Marketing & Recruitment, Pathways, Student Life, Teaching & Learning and Transnational Education.

This event is free, but is limited to first time attendees of AIEC, new IEAA members and those thinking of joining IEAA.

Accommodation

This year we invite you to book accommodation through our conference partner, Ozaccom+. Special discounted room rates for AIEC delegates at hotels near the venue are available through this portal. If you prefer to make your own arrangements directly with the hotels, AIEC room rates cannot be guaranteed.

Adelaide, a city made for events

Adelaide is a green and spacious city, yet it has large city infrastructure and technology. For delegates, it’s an ideal conference city with everything you need easily accessible within its walkable boundaries.

The Adelaide Convention Centre (ACC) is conveniently located on the North Terrace, next to the train station. It has sweeping views of the Torrens River, the Adelaide Oval and the botanic garden. There are many hotels within a five-minute walk of the centre, which is surrounded by an abundance of vibrant restaurants, bars and laneways.

Getting there and around is easy! Adelaide Airport is located within 20 minutes from the convention centre and is serviced by the major Australian metropolitan airports with Qantas, Jetstar Rex and Virgin Australia offering flights daily. We encourage you to book your flights early to avoid disappointment.
